PRP is performed in several stages. Firstly, we will draw a small amount of your blood at our clinic, and it will be centrifuged to form the PRP concentrate that will later be injected to your scalp. A local anesthetic will be used so that you will not have to be uncomfortable due to pain during the procedure. The blood that is centrifuged and strained leaving only PRP will be a concentrated serum with many growth factors that will stimulate hair growth. Platelets are the main component of this method of treatment and are targeted at stimulating hair follicles.
